1. Entrance

You must show the Pellikaan pass to the receptionist on arrival to enter. LTC Dousberg members receive a black and white card from Pellikaan, which remains valid as long as you are a member of LTC Dousberg. They cannot scan the KNLTB cards, so they cannot hand them over to the receptionist. If you do not yet have a black and white Pellikaan pass, ask the receptionist on duty for the pass (fee 5 euros).

2. Who

These regulations apply to everyone who is entitled to use the courts. Agreements have been made with the Tennis School about court use, which influence these regulations. See the agreements with the Tennis School and point 8.

3. Limitations

On certain days (KNLTB Competition) and at permitted organized events, there is only limited opportunity to play and teach: see, among other things, the Events Calendar on this site.

4. Reservation

4a. The receptionist is responsible for allocating the courts and you must follow his/her instructions.

4b. The courts can be reserved up to 6 days in advance (1 court per reservation for a maximum of 1.5 hours). Reservations are only possible if you have a valid Pellikaan pass. Reservations can only be made on full or half hours. If, for whatever reason, the reservation is not made, please inform the reception so that the court can be released.

You must indicate whether you wish to play a singles or a doubles game and you must provide the names of the other players.
For this reservation you must confirm at least 5 minutes before the start of the playing time by handing in all passes.
If this does not happen, the job will be released as a run-in job. This also happens if not all cards of the playing persons are present at the reception.

4c. The receptionist will first assign you a court that is free.
If all courts are occupied, you will be assigned a court that becomes available first.

5. Start and finishing playing

Start playing:

If at the time of arrival there are courts that are not being played on, always ask the receptionist whether the court is reserved or not, to be sure, you can immediately book a court.

Finish playing:

If you play the full 1.5 hours and the court is not occupied after this, you must still go to the reception of Club Pellikaan to indicate that you are continuing to play on the same court, so that you are sure that no subsequent players will come. The court may be free for 30 minutes before the next reservation starts.
If you wish to play shorter than the reserved playing time of 1.5 hours, leave the assigned court and report immediately to the reception. This releases the track.

7. Rain en sprinkling

No additional rights can be claimed for playing time interrupted by rain or other unforeseen circumstances. LTC Dousberg members are not allowed to play indoors, CP members are.
The courts are sprayed automatically at the times of 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00.
On competition days in warm weather, extra spraying can be done manually.

8. Tennis school

Lessons can only be given to CP and LTC members.
The lesson courts during the day are 1 and 8.

9. Shoes, behaviour and dress code

9a. Wearing footwear prescribed for the sport of clay tennis is mandatory. This is to prevent damage to the courts.
It is therefore forbidden to play with running shoes or the like on the gravel courts.

9b. It is not allowed to walk through the CP building with gravel tennis shoes.
Outside next to the doors there are bins with overshoes that people have to wear.
If these are not available, please report this after you have taken off your gravel shoes outside the building at the reception.

9c. Before leaving the court, you must sweep it with the drag nets hung for this purpose. To keep the court as even as possible, sweeping should be done in a spiral shape, going from the outside to the inside.

9d. The entire CP site and building is smoke-free. Smoking is therefore not allowed both inside and outside the building. Smoking is only allowed outside on the terrace where it is indicated.

10. Sportsmanship

These rules are intended to make dealing with each other and playing as pleasant as possible for all those involved.
There will always be people who are inventive enough to come up with things within or outside the rules at their own discretion. This behavior creates disagreement and the realization that this behavior is not sporting. If this occurs, do not argue, but inform the receptionist about this.

In the event of repeated non-compliance with the regulations by the same person, the consequence may be that the person is refused access to the complex.
